| So who are we...? | We are a Wedding & Portrait studio based in Dublin and shoot weddings all over Ireland. Paul is the primary contact, a full-time and qualified professional photographer. I run Moat Hill Photography with my wife Elaine who generally works behind the scenes. We shoot weddings together and both work on all aspects of Album design, image processing and other roles involved in wedding photography. |
| About our photography... | We work to an exceptional high standard and produce a strong final product, that is always our aim at every wedding we photograph or portrait session. Being a full time professional service, photography is something we do for a living, so compromising our future business and reputation is just not an option. We always meet our clients beforehand and on the day work in a very relaxed way to ensure our clients feel that photography is not a chore but an enjoyable part of there wedding day. |
| Our Prices... | Our prices are based on the quality of service, photography and our exception albums but we still ensure to remain very competitive for the quality of product we produce. Each wedding package offers a pre-wedding meeting, professional fully insured photography, exceptionally high quality albums from the US, the UK and Austrailia, images on a disk for your own printing and a personallised wedding gallery available free for 1 year after your wedding. We invest up to 40 hours work into each wedding, I do not shoot weddings to boost my income it is my profession therefore you should expect only professional results. |
| Questions & Answers... | What style of photography do you produce? We take a documentary approach to our work we try to make your day about you and your guests, so we shoot unobtrusively as possible throughout the day and spend some time with the Bride & Groom shooting very relaxed portraits and also shoot any group or family shots you might want. Our main aim is for you to enjoy your party and get back to it as soon as possible. How do you prepare for a wedding? If we haven't shot at your venue before I will travel to the venue to scout the location etc if you like you can come along and meet with me at the venue to go through any details or ideas you might have. You will receive a booking form a few months before your wedding which will outline the finer details of your day for me, if you need help going through it I'm always available to you for a chat. I ensure all the locations to visit on your day are marked in a sat-nav to ensure we have record of the routes. Do you shoot weddings outside Dublin? Absolutely, I shoot weddings all around Ireland and beyond if so require. In Ireland I don't charge for travel. In a given year I generally shoot 40% weddings in Dublin and 60% outside from Kerry to Donegal. Do you shoot Civil Ceremonies or Civil Partnerships? Absolutely, whatever your plans or event we can facilitate. Are you a member of any professional organisations? Yes, I'm an award winning member of the [AG]WPJA, this organisation is a limited professional organisation for artistic wedding photographers. See my AGWPJA profile here. How far in advance can I book? Depending on the time of year its best to book as early as possible. Summer months tend to fill up fast especially Fridays & Saturdays so 12 to 14 months advance booking is the trend. October to April book slightly slower but December is an exception. Eager brides have booked me 18 months in advance!!! What kind of equipment do you use? I use high end professional grade Canon digial equipment and Lenses and do all photographic processing on Apple Mac Pro machines and professional colour corrected screens. We backup, backup and backup our files and also carry backup equipment to weddings. How do I book, and what happens then? You can contact me direct through our contact page by email or phone. Once your date is available you can book. You may first wish to meet and view some more of my work and some sample wedding albums. Once you pay the required deposit your date is booked. Unfortunately I can't guarantee your date without a deposit in order to be fair to everyone making enquiries. I will also give you a booking form to get some more details about your wedding day. Are you insured? Yes I am fully insured I hold professional indemnity insurance and also have public liability insurance. What happens after our wedding? Once your wedding has ended, work begins on your images. We take exceptional care with your images and want to ensure each and every image is perfected to our high standards and can take up to 4 weeks to deliver your images to you. Its important for you and me to have the best result from a day you've taken so much care and time to prepare. Once there ready I'll send you an email with a link to your gallery which allows you to view and choose your images for your album After this you'll recieve your dvds and soon after you've picked your album images we will build your album to our exceptional high standards with your input of course along the way. Is there anything else we should know? Well apart from photography, I love coffee, books and sport... My musical taste is all over the place, I'm told. I especially like landscape photography and love to add elements of landscape and natural texture to my wedding images.
