Clyde & Frieda Dublin City Hall Wedding and the Cliff Town House

Clyde & Frieda got married in Dublin City and had their ceremony in City hall, a lovely choice of venue. It was actually my first time there even though I’ve lived in Dublin all my life, I’m not sure how I’ve never had the time to go in as I’ve passed this building so many times in the past.

This is a really cool place to celebrate a marriage. It has character and prestige, beautiful stone features and the domed ceiling is just incredible but the thing I love the most are the large ceiling high windows that fill its center with lots and lots of bright natural light…. yum.

For the reception Clyde & Frieda choose the Cliff Town House a funky boutique hotel in Dublin city right across from Stephens green with views of the park and streets and a cute but somewhat frightening walk-out balcony. This wedding was a lot of fun and it was great working with both Clyde & Frieda… thanks guys and enjoy..

Jo & Jon at the Stephouse Hotel Borris Wedding Photography

So here’s another from September, doing my best to catch up at the moment on blogs but I’m looking forward to sharing this one. Jo and Jon are a fantastic couple really bubbly and great fun. They got married in kilkenny and travelled to the Stephouse hotel in Borris, Carlow for their reception with a quick stop in the beautiful grounds of Borris house, just across the road handy eh!

Borris house has some gorgeous locations for images with a mixture of water, reaching fields and mature tall trees (I love trees)! I love parallel lines and symmetry, which always has a real big influence on our images. So anyway, on to the images thanks Jo & Jon for having Elaine & myself as your wedding photographers we really really enjoyed working with you! Enjoy:-)

Wanita - Real fantastic visual appeal on this site, I’d rate it 10 10.

Jo O’Sullivan - What lovely comments! I have to say both me and Jon were super happy with the photos and could not recommend Paul and Elaine enough. The photos totally capture the day we felt we had and will forever remind us of special moments of our day. I could not believe the amount of photos that Paul and Elaine captured on the day. We were not even aware of them most of the time they were so discreet. With such choice our biggest problem now is choosing an album . . Not a bad complaint!

Christina Brosnan - Love it all! Beautiful wedding and fabulously captured!

Alan McCarthy - Awesome as usual guys. LOVE the tall trees shot.

Sandia Courtyard - This wedding looked so unbelievably happy! The bride and groom were quirky and adorable. Loved the car they had and the bridesmaid dresses. This wedding could not have been more perfect.

Dave McClelland - First class Paul and Elaine. You guys are just getting better and better.
So many things I love about that shoot. You have nailed so many shots. Her coming down the stairs, her dad waiting for her, the car coming into the church, squeezing on the ring, the car pulling away (the tax discs provide a nice blur!) so many great shots in the gardens and then kickass dance shots. Pat yourself on the back folks – in fact just pat each others backs. It’s easier.

Dave

Marie - Beautiful work. Love the Thank you images…great car

Bartek Witek - Lovely couple and great imagery Paul. Well done!
PS. I love the orange beetle :D

Coming soon … Martin & Derek’s Civil Partnership

Tracy & Johns engagement shoot in Ardgillen Dublin

We’re off to Kerry to photograph Tracy and Johns wedding this weekend but before that a little post about the fun time I had with them a few weeks ago shooting their engagement images for a guest book. We took a nice walk around Ardgillen Demesne which is a beautiful Demesne with a castle and woods… here’s some of the results. Looking forward to Friday!

Toby Hanks - Amazing pictures :)

Paul - Thanks Brian yep I know you love a field with some curves :-)

Brian M - Firstly, loving the new look of the blog. Secondly, really love that shot with the curved grass path in the background. Very nicely spotted!

Eoghan & Deirdre at Castle Durrow and The Kilkenny Castle round tower..

Ok so a wedding with 2 castles has to have  a prince, princess and a chariot! I’m not sure of the horse power so I can’t say how many horses we had, was it a biga, triga or quadriga but it made a lot of noise and it looked very, very cool.

It’s obvious that Deirdre and Eoghan really love each other and have lots of fun together and its something that shows. They smiled all day and didn’t stress, concentrated on each other and absorbed the fun around them. Its what I would recommend every couple do, enjoy it, savor it and don’t stress it.

Deirdre looked utterly fab in her dress definitely a princess… and her group of friends and family where a real pleasure to be around allowing me to just quietly work away and photograph the morning in my own way. The ceremony was in the Kilkenny castle round tower and was gorgeous and great for a overhead view. Castle Durrow has everything you need for photographing a wedding on location, beautiful gardens and trees and bright rooms inside should the weather let you down. I have to say a big congrats to both Eoghan & Deirdre and thanks for letting us be there to photograph your big day.
